Author: Takahiro Mitsui (三井崇央). For many years, TAKAHIRO MITSUI has pursued an independent study of Japan, carrying out fieldwork across the Japanese archipelago. Taking on mythology, ancient history, folklore, archaeology, thought, and genetics all at once, the work approaches two questions: “What is Japan?” and “Who are the Japanese?”
